Bir yiyeceği ağza alıp çiğneme hareketiyle koparılan parça veya bir şeyin üzerine dişlerle yapılan basınç sonucu oluşan iz anlamında kullanılır. Günlük yaşamda yemek yerken veya bir şeyin tadına bakarken sıkça karşılaşılan bir durumdur.
