pandemic

I have been taking a short walk in my neighborhood every morning to clear my mind since the pandemic began . Although many activities moved online , I still buy fresh bread from the small shop on the corner , where masks are required and people keep a polite distance . The shop is bright and the staff are friendly , so the visit feels calm and safe . If the pandemic were over , I would sit at the caf é window and read the newspaper instead of hurrying home . Despite the changes , this little routine has made a big difference to my day .
